Thank you for taking time to visit our website and to learn more about who we are and why we are different than the other 450 churches in lynchburg, va.
We believe that God does not want us to just "GO" to church...rather He calls us to "BE" the church. While we do come together to celebrate in worship at our gatherings, we also feel it is important to worship in our day to day lives. Whether it's hosting neighborhood cookouts, serving in the community, or just raking someone's leaves, being the church is what makes One Community different.
So please take some time and scroll scroll through the options below and let us know how we can serve you during your visit.

DO I HAVE TO GIVE MONEY WHEN I VISIT?
You are never obligated to give. If you are new to ONE, please enjoy the music and let the basket pass unless you would like to give. We hope that as people get involved with our church, they are led to be generous in regularly giving. Click on our giving page to learn about the different ways you can give.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE FOR MY CHILDREN AND STUDENTS?
Kids Life serves children birth through grade 5 during our service. When you arrive you will check in your kids and kids 1st - 5th grade will be brought into main service during the worship experience. After worship they will be dismissed to join us in the back for Kids Life.
Student Life is for grades 6–12 and they meet in our Student Life room after the worship experience. On Sunday evenings they meet at back at our church from 5-7pm.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
From the moment you arrive to when you drive away, we hope you find us a warm and welcoming place where you can discover God and his community. You can expect warm drinks (coffee and tea) and snacks as well as a friendly greeting and helpful assistance each weekend. Our service lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes where we sing songs and listen to a message from a pastor. We have kids programming for birth through 5th graders.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Come dressed comfortably. Some people wear shorts and t-shirts. Others wear dresses and suits. We are more concerned that you come as you are rather than if you look your “Sunday Best”.
WHAT STYLE OF WORSHIP MUSIC CAN I EXPECT?
We would consider our music in services to be a mix of modern worship, original and hymnal songs familiar to all. We always display song lyrics on the screen so everyone can sing along and we listen and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR A SERVICE?
We recommend that you arrive at least 10–15 minutes before service starts so you have time to get a drink (coffee, tea or water) and a snack before settling in.
If you have children and this is your first visit, you will need a few additional minutes to fill out some paperwork to help us get to know your child better. Kids Ministry opens 15 minutes prior to service time.
WHO CAN HELP ME ANSWER MY QUESTIONS AT CHURCH?
We have many people ready to help. Stop by our Connect Table and a friendly volunteer or ministry leader can answer your questions or help you find your way.
